Born on 20 September 1982 in Shanghai, China, Hu Ge (胡歌) is a Chinese actor and singer.
With a strong interest in photography, Hu Ge is also great with words, writing meaningful poems and posts as vouched by his posts on his personal blog.
Hu Ge has sung many songs for the soundtracks of his dramas. However, in 2008, Hu Ge released his first full length music album, entitled, "Start".
Two years later, he released his second studio album combining new and best selected tracks to compile "Blue Ray".
Gaining popularity and admiration from a very wide audience, he earns himself the title "the king of ancient series".

As you all may have known, Hu Ge's Japanese restaurant opened not long ago, and his official forum has already organised numerous trips for a group of fans to try the food there. "I cannot say I will not be involved in a lightning marriage."During an interview in Fuzhou, Hu Ge shared his views on "lightning marriages", and believes that he will meet someone he will fall in love with at first sight.
In his latest film "Xinhai Revolution", Hu Ge plays the character of Lin Jue Min: "Lin Jue Min is someone from Fuzhou, and this shows I have some fate with Fuzhou. I have just finished filming the most important part of the film - the Guangzhou Uprising. I am now memorising 'Letter To My Wife'."
Earlier, Hu Ge had written in his weibo asking: "If I apply for a [marriage] certificate, will everyone send me their blessings?" This triggered many curious fans to question whether the currently single Hu Ge, to tie the knot like Wang Xiao Fei and Barbie Hsu did with a lightning marriage. Hu Ge says: "I cannot say I will not marry in a flash. If I meet the right person, then what I will be doing next would be right." He explains that "right" refers to the sudden feeling during that exact moment. "I have never fallen in love at first sight before, but I believe I will meet that person in my life."
If Hu Ge meets that special someone, will he act upon it like his character Chen Cong did in "Bitter Coffee"? Hu Ge answers: "I won't be so initiative like Chen Cong. I will place that fondness inside my heart, because I am someone who needs face. If the person I like does not feel the same way, I will reveal my feelings once. After that, I will continue to express my love in a more reserved way - and let her know of my existence."

"I cannot say I will not be involved in a lightning marriage."During an interview in Fuzhou, Hu Ge shared his views on "lightning marriages", and believes that he will meet someone he will fall in love with at first sight.
In his latest film "Xinhai Revolution", Hu Ge plays the character of Lin Jue Min: "Lin Jue Min is someone from Fuzhou, and this shows I have some fate with Fuzhou. I have just finished filming the most important part of the film - the Guangzhou Uprising. I am now memorising 'Letter To My Wife'."
Earlier, Hu Ge had written in his weibo asking: "If I apply for a [marriage] certificate, will everyone send me their blessings?" This triggered many curious fans to question whether the currently single Hu Ge, to tie the knot like Wang Xiao Fei and Barbie Hsu did with a lightning marriage. Hu Ge says: "I cannot say I will not marry in a flash. If I meet the right person, then what I will be doing next would be right." He explains that "right" refers to the sudden feeling during that exact moment. "I have never fallen in love at first sight before, but I believe I will meet that person in my life."
If Hu Ge meets that special someone, will he act upon it like his character Chen Cong did in "Bitter Coffee"? Hu Ge answers: "I won't be so initiative like Chen Cong. I will place that fondness inside my heart, because I am someone who needs face. If the person I like does not feel the same way, I will reveal my feelings once.
